All Events Take Place At the Church
The life of the congregation and the church building is not limited to Sundays. Our facilities are great for groups. Our building is accessible for all abilities, and the large parking lot is ideal for many types of gatherings. There is no charge for nonprofit groups, but donations are appreciated to cover the cost of custodial service and general maintenance.
If you are interested in using the building, please complete the building use form by clicking the link - First Congregational UCC Building Use Form. Then send it to the church via e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org, or via USPS at 171 West Pulteney Street, Corning NY 14830.

Thank God for Evolution is the title of a book by the Reverend MIchael Dowd that is subtitled How the Marriage of Science and Religion Will Transform Your LIfe and Our World. We use this book as a jumping off point for very open discussions regarding what it means to be a person of faith in the 21st century. The group has been meeting for eleven years and we seem to have no trouble determining a monthly agenda! Everyone, regardless of age or wherever you are on your faith journey (sound familiar?) is welcome!

Corning Brass Works was formed in 1976 by Brad Kinsman, a french horn player. We practiced at the Painted Post Baptist Church until Brad died and then moved to the welcoming Corning First Congregational UCC. Our five-part brass ensemble performs at weddings, funerals, engagements, CCC graduations, and each year at the Painted Post Baptist Church on Palm Sunday. It does not cost much to get us to play, but it costs a lot to get us to stop!
Contact John Brown: 607/3724 or Jim Ellison: 607/207-6135 if you have questions or an event you would want five-part brass ensemble music.
Weekly every Wednesday, 7:00- 9:00 p.m.
