Purpose: Employ, evaluate, discharge, and set the conditions and terms of employment of all church staff. Ensure minimal liability and compliance with all applicable labor laws.

Responsibilities 

  1. Research, draft, revise, and propose human resources policies to the Administrative  Board for congregational vote, such as position descriptions, salaries, benefits, hours,  vacations, sick leave, dress code, employee-church relationships, employee dismissal, and related employer-employee issues. 
  2. Conduct annual program staff review. 
  3. Provide the Administrative Board with compensation recommendations for the following year. 
  4. Carry out human resources policies as directed by the Admin. Board. 
  5. Research, draft, and propose other church policies to the Admin. Board such as “Safe Church” procedures.
